RiChèile
Making things that bring people together.
Ri Chèile is a small maker studio in Northumberland. We build websites, software and the odd invention for people who'd rather spend their time on their work than on admin.
Make an enquiry
Give small organisations tools as good as the big ones have.
Charities, clubs, cafés and sole traders keep their communities running, often with a patchwork of spreadsheets, inboxes and a website nobody can update.
We want to give them well-made, affordable tools that fit how they actually work and that they can run themselves.
Eva Cameron is a software engineer and data scientist from the North East, with a first-class degree in Digital and Technology Solutions.
She started Ri Chèile to make the kind of careful, joined-up technology she works with every day available to the small organisations around her.
Built with you, not for you.
Small organisations get handed a lot of things. We'd rather make them alongside you.
- Built for youWe build it with you.
- A templateWe make it fit how you already work.
- Locked inYou own the domain, the content and the data.
- Big running costsLightweight tech that's cheap to keep going.
- An agencyYou talk to the person doing the work.
How we work
Built with the people who'll use it, from the first conversation to the day it's yours.
We start by listening
Before anything is designed, we sit down with you and look at how your days actually run, and what keeps getting in the way.
We build it with you
You see it take shape as we go, explained in plain English. Nothing gets decided without you.
It's yours to keep
You own your domain, your content and your data. Everything is built so you can update it yourself without calling us.
Made carefully
Secure, accessible and built to last, with the same standards we'd use on a large project, at a size that suits yours.
Aonaibhri chèile
Scottish Gaelic, “unite together”
Ri chèile means “together”. The name comes from an old clan motto, and it's a reminder that good tools should bring people closer together, not bury them in admin.
The logo is a clan-badge belt and buckle around a Celtic braid. The strands only hold because they're woven together. That's how we think about the work: built together with you, not handed over.
It's a nod to where our trade began, too. Weaving was the first programmable craft: the punched cards that ran Jacquard's loom were borrowed for the first designs for a computer.
- NowWebsites and simple tools for small organisations.
- Our ownA CRM adapted for small organisations, and a lightweight CMS whose “studio mode” gives complete beginners control of their own site.
- In timePhysical inventions, too.
